For my purposes this tool worked great, was easy to order and easy to use and I will now have it for the next project so I won’t have to buy an expensive transition piece when coupling heating or exhaust ductwork.
I do HVAC for a living and these Crimpers are great for the duct that i work with--usually 28ga. They open a little wider in the handle than Malco. Handles are comfortable and durable, fits in a pocket well and easy to open one handed while holding duct. Has a lanyard loop but i wont bother using it because i picture it ripping off under real use. I got mine for open/damaged box price-was under $20.
Nice quality, works ok, but jaws don't close tight enough for perfect gutter crimp. Need just a bit more overlap
Needed to re-route several downspouts as a result of new steps and driveway redesign. This tool was what I needed to make all my connections. The tool made all my connections easy to complete with professional results.
This was supposed to be great for crimping gutters, but I found that it damaged the metal more than anything and was not intuitive to use. I returned them as I didn't think they were a good value given the clunky functioning.
